I really miss Michigan sometimes... Here's a feel good story about guns, kids, and the state working to get them into their hands sooner......New DNR regulations in Michigan are intended to attract new hunters, and many will get their first shot at a buck this weekend. The annual youth deer hunt gives youth from ages 10 to 16 a chance to learn more about the sport.
The two day season has the same general rules as the regular firearm season, but no baiting is allowed. The minimum hunting age has been lowered this year for both big and small game, and a new apprentice license has been adopted.
