Pubic Library?

This will take a couple of minutes to watch, but well worth it.

A local television station in Cleveland decided to put together an “investigative report” on the dangers of allowing your children to go to the public library. What did they do? They put a hidden camera in the computer room and waited for some poor sap to start “having sex with himself.”

They found that man, and that man was an Ohio State fan. What happens next will change the way you see humanity. You’re going to watch this and think it’s some sort of sketch comedy troupe prank. It isn’t.

Barbaro gets Screwed

If you missed it, here is a before and after photo of the Kentucky Derby winner, 3-year-old bay colt Barbaro’s broken bones above and below his ankle at the Preakness on Saturday, ending his Triple Crown bid and racing career.

I think it looks like the quality workmanship that you would expect from an eight grade wood shop.. Amy thinks it’s a really good job.. I don’t buy it.. You be the judge....

My Dad and Friend..

My dad and friend, William (Bill) Richard McIntosh, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, May 21st. at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, MN..

Two years ago he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had a procedure called a Whipple preformed to remove the cancer. This was followed up with three months of chemo and radiation. After which he stayed cancer free for over two years.

The odds where stacked against him from the beginning.. Less than 5% of the patients that are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer live more than five years. So with that, I feel extremely fortunate for the time that I had with him.

My parents had just relocated to my dad’s home town, Johnston City, IL when my dad started to feel ill. So, my mom and dad packed up and headed for the Mayo Clinic to have his discomfort investigated. Unfortunately, his discomfort was due to the cancer metastasizing to his liver.

After fighting the cancer with all of his effort and determination for over two months he went very peacefully. I’m very happy that my parents decided to stay with Amy and me for the last two months so that we all could spend time with him. I had the opportunity to spend almost everyday with him. We talked about old times and discussed what our futures held.

During the last couple of months our friends and family have shown their care and support more than I could have ever imaged and I’m truly humbled and thankful from all of the support. Thank you..

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27th. at Murman and Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

I guess the PC police have even re-named Siamese Twins. Now they are called Conjoined Twins… What happened? Did this term offend Thai people or did it offend twins that didn’t want to be associated with Thai people…

Who put a Quarter in this Guy??

Apparently, I have a fascination with bicycles when I’ve had a cocktail or twooo. This time I borrowed my little buddy Mason’s bike. I did some tricks (wheels, bunny hop, and I worked on a few new moves).

Lucky for me I didn’t have to ride it home, on a flat, 10 miles in the dark, wearing khakis and an oxford, after forgetting my beef jerky and Diet Pepsi at the Holiday Station Store…….

Season's Hospice

As many of you know my dad has been battling pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver over the last few months. He’s been in and out of the hospital and skilled nursing facilities trying to build his strength so he can accept treatment to fight the cancer. Even with his strong will, endless effort and positive attitude he’s not going to get healthy enough to get treatment.

Yesterday we moved my dad from St. Mary’s to Season’s Hospice.. Season’s is a beautiful home that has been turned in to a hospice facility that is located SW of Rochester over looking the countryside. It has a wooded setting with lots gardens, bird feeders, walking/riding paths, a pond, gazebo, and deer walk though at dust as if they are queued to do so.

We are very happy to have him there. The staff is delightful and very kind. I can’t think of a better place for my dad to be right now.

Cinco de Mayo

Short work week for the Mexicans with Monday being Uno de Mayo (make your own burrito day) and today Cinco de Mayo. Wow, wonder why that Paso is so low to the Dollar….

El Cinco de Mayo ("The Fifth of May" in

Spanish) is a national celebration in Mexico. It commemorates the victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza over the French expeditionary forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

And yes it is big in Rochester because on the Mayo Clinic...
